The return of Third Thursday SF!

It has been far too long since we have seen each other so we are bringing #ThirdThursdaySF back! We all fondly remember and miss our great times at Mavalous on Market Street, but since the membership has grown and we have A LOT to catch up on we decided to try a larger location for this kickoff. Please join me, Charles Belle, and Emily Salgado as we host a return to #ThirdThursdaySF in a new location at 46 Minna.

This month’s event is going to focus on the legislation that SF Tech Dems has sponsored, the California Open Data Standard (SB1002) introduced by Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco/San Mateo). Over the past few months we have been working to advance this important legislation that will affect all state and local agencies. If you work for a government agency, a technology firm who serves government agencies, or if you are a developer working with Open Data, we invite you to come and learn more about SB1002. We will provide an update on the current status of the bill, the history behind it, information on who the opponents are, and what the next steps are, and how to get involved if interested.

The event starts at 5:30 PM with the main program starting around 6:30. Feel free to come and go as you please, there is nothing formal about Happy Hour!

Third Thursday SF is a monthly social event that attracts professionals from all industries who are interested in government technology. Mix, mingle, and network with professionals in our industry and hear about important tech policy issues and Gov 2.0 innovations taking place in San Francisco and around our state.

No Host bar with Happy Hour specials including $3 draft beer, $5 cocktails, and $6 house wines.

We look forward to seeing you on July 19th.
